Crossing Things Off
I'm baaack...
Regular posting will resume on Monday, but I'm ending my hiatus a day early so as not to break #100 on my 101 in 1001 list.
I crossed one more thing off, woo!
Eight down, ninety-three to go.
- Train at least three times a week for six months.
- Fight in a Muay Thai match.
- Do something physical every single day for three months.
- Do 3 pull-ups.
- Do 100 "real" push-ups.
Do 100 sit-ups
Completed January 23, 2008. Ow.- Complete a marathon, biking or running.
- Climb Half Dome or Mt. Washington.
- Go on another canoe trip.
- Complete The Artist's Way.
- Get something published somewhere other than on my blog.
- Pay off my car.
- Pay off few remaining debts.
Get a raise, a new job, or both!
Got a raise Nov 30, 2007, but I'm not ruling out the new job yet *g*- Adopt a dog.
- Follow a disciplined spiritual practice for three months.
- Travel abroad at least twice.
- Cook at least two meals a day at home for one month.
- Take the cats to the vet for check-ups.
Complete the office.
Ikea to the rescue! Completed December 31, 2007- Complete the living room.
- Complete the bathroom.
- Complete the dining room.
- Complete the bedroom.
- Complete the kitchen & pantry.
- Plant roses beside the house.
- Plant & maintain the front gardens for one spring & summer.
- Buy a miniature potted fruit tree.
- Speak French completely fluently again.
- Become passably fluent in a third language.
- Take a digital photography class.
- Read the newspaper every day for a month.
- Play poker in Las Vegas.
- Throw myself a blow-out birthday party.
- Learn all the state capitals by heart (again).
- Learn to drive a manual transmission.
- Buy a high-end digital camera.
- Buy a Mac desktop.
- Learn to snowboard.
- Skydive.
- Buy a shotgun.
- Learn to shoot skeet.
- Go back to Arcadia with Firebug to celebrate the 20th anniversary of our friendship.
- Build a broader investment portfolio.
- Save $5 a day for 6 months.
- Draft a legal will.
- Print and frame the favorite photos that I have taken.
- Assemble a comprehensive family tree.
- Organize all of my recipes into one book.
- Visit my friends in SF, NYC, Florida,
Seattle, Austin & Toronto.
Seattle: December 2007 - Start a collection.
Transfer all of my CDs into iTunes.
I started this little task on January 1, 2008 (it was all part of "completing the office") and finished on January 3, 2008. Phew.- Meet or discover a man with whom I would like to spend the rest of my life.
- Send my parents on a wonderful trip.
- Meet Brandon in person.
- Get another tattoo.
- Host at least six dinner parties.
- Send timely holiday cards.
- Buy myself a fabulous piece of jewelry.
- Maintain my hair for 6 months straight.
- Go to a Chargers game.
- Go to a Kings game.
- Go to an 'SC football game.
- Hear a concert at the Walt Disney Concert Hall.
- Blog daily for three months.
- Learn my father's secret for really excellent chili.
- Learn my mother's secret for vegetable beef soup.
- Go on a whirlwind weekend trip with someone fantastic.
- Get SCUBA certified.
- Dive the Great Barrier Reef.
- Live abroad for at least a month.
- Go to the Griffith Park Observatory.
- Go to the Getty Villa.
- Go to the Los Angeles Zoo.
Go to the Long Beach Aquarium.
Completed May 25, 2008. I'd like to go back when it's not quite so busy, though.- See a movie at Hollywood Forever.
- Attend an awards show, rather than working it.
- Set up at least ten good playlists in iTunes.
- See the 102 Movies [I] Must See Before [I] Die.
- Learn to play the guitar I've owned for over a year.
- Volunteer / participate in one charitable event at least once a month for six months.
- Send three Any Soldier packages each month for six months.
- Get on the TiVo bandwagon.
- Buy an HD, flat-panel TV and mount it on the living room wall.
- Go to three concerts.

- Renew my passport (I can't believe I even let it expire!).
- Unplug from movies, television, radio, and the internet for a week.
Buy a Blackberry Pearl (if Verizon ever gets them).
Verizon did get them and I bought one on Nov 14, 2007!- Take a specialty cooking class at Williams-Sonoma.
- Attend a book signing.
- Submit a secret to Post Secret.
Try Pinkberry (Sorry,Hil).
Completed March 29, 2008. It was fine. Not FANTASTIC, but fine.- Host at least five game nights / afternoons.

Completed December 29, 2007. Now she can move to Michigan *g*.- Post updates about my progress at least once a month.
