100 Things Worth Doing, Part II
Memories that I hope flash before my eyes at the end of my life; one hundred moments, numbers twenty-one through forty.
- My first breakfast at the King's Road Cafe.
- Sitting in the sun on the hill where I met The Fireman.
- Riding a camel.
- Paddling hell-for-leather into the wind across a vast, cold lake.
- Lounging in a bathtub that had a view of the entire Hong Kong harbor.
- Halloween in New York with Pip.
- New Orleans.
- Playing solitaire inside on a rainy day in Bermuda.
- The first time I put on a pair of boxing gloves.
- Making the Bûche de Noël by myself for the first time.
- Thanksgiving. The smell of food cooking, the sound of friends laughing, the taste of dry white wine.
- Jumping on the hotel bed.
- Rauri's going away party.
- Bare.
- Swing dancing at the Derby & the Coconut Club.
- "I'll make you a cherry pie..."
- Rolling down the hill behind the tennis courts, trying to stop before the dirt road.
- Finally being old enough / cool enough to go to The Ridge after dark.
- Losing a muffler in Massachusetts
- Seeing myself in a tabloid.
