Fame
This morning, Luke Perry was standing in front of me in line at Petco. When he shifted his weight, the teenage girl in front of him suddenly turned around and instantly recognized him from a small independent that he did recently. She started yammering about how good he was in the film, how much she enjoyed his performance, and how much she liked the film over all. She wound up their "conversation" (to which he'd contributed exactly three head nods and one Thanks) by saying I'm sure you're gonna be really famous some day! and cautioning him about the dangers of getting too famous too fast.
He glanced over his shoulder then and I caught his eye. I winked at him and said I'm sure you'll handle fame just fine. He winked in return as he walked to the register to pay for his dog food.
Hilarous.

How funny - I had my own run-in with Luke back in Feb of '04 when he showed up at my friends house and we just hung out.
It was trippy, but the guy is a down to earth, cool guy.
