After having been locked in a windowless office for most of the morning, I couldn't resist the siren call of sunshine & a warm breeze so I headed to Griffith Park for my lunch break.
When I arrived at the back side of the park (more picnic tables and usually less crowded), there were no less than twenty people parked along the edge of Griffith... windows rolled down and smiles on their faces as they nibbled on their lunches.
Not one of them, however, had actually gotten out of their cars to sit at one of the tables, or on the grass, or at the base of one of the many huge trees. Though I was happy to have my choice of tables and trees, I couldn't help but muse that Los Angelenos really love their cars.
